A catalogue raisonnee of Zumstein’s work is being prepared at present. After settling in Paris in the 1950s, Zumstein concentrated on abstraction and as his work became more figurative, it is clear that this is an early work.
Condition
Oil and sand on canvas in a thick layer. Chips to edges and minor scuffs. In overall good order, float mounted in a white wood moulding.
