Retiring and reserved by nature, few knew that she was the granddaughter of the composer Felix Mendelssohn. Although unsigned, this work can be seen adorning the living room wall of the well-known English artist Harold Mockford in the short film “Margaret Dora Mendelssohn Benecke: an Artist in the Shadows"
